| Amarok refuses to open unless the 3d nvidia drivers are installed, however those are the drivers that make my system freeze, this just makes no sense to me AT ALL! |

what does amarok say when startted from konsole?

just write amarok into a konsole and hit enter

Click on the Konsole picture on the lower left side of the toolbar - a small black screen appears. Type amarok and <return>

before I install the 3d drivers amarok opens fine, but after I reinstall Kanotix, then reinstall the nvidia drivers and my system freezes and forces me to go back to nv drivers amarok says this:
