Zurücksetzen des Root-Passwortes


Es ist sicher schon jedem mal passiert, dass er sein Passwort vergessen hat. Beim Rootpasswort ist das besonders ungeschickt.
So kann man es aber wieder von der Kanotix-Live-CD aus zurücksetzen:

su
mount /dev/hdXY 
mount -t proc proc /media/hdXY/proc
chroot /media/hdXY
passwd
exit

(für XY muss man die jeweilige Installationspartition von Kanotix angeben)

Jetzt kannst du ein neues vergeben.
