I cannot hardly believe what I've discovered. I was lamenting the fact that I didn't have a way to digitize my analog music collection after migrating from M$, until last night I found Audacity...why am I so stupid? Should have noticed it earlier.
Is there a comprehensive list of applications and their general functions for Kanotix? I keep coming across wonderful programs I either overlooked or was unaware of (some of the names fo the programs aren't familiar to me).

you can search in the kanotix-packetlist for desired programms:

long time ago i've seen a list that compared windows-progs with linux-progs. for example that outlook ist similar to kmail etc... try google.. maybe you'll find something like this

The original version of that list is here in English. In my experience angelfire sites are not very reliable and seem to disappear often.

I have picked up both versions and will put them into our wiki. However, the English version seens to be quite outdated.
