General Support - rdiff-backup: ImportError: No module named rdiff_backup.Main kenyee - 17.08.2006, 14:48 Uhr Titel: rdiff-backup: ImportError: No module named rdiff_backup.Main
FYI, in case you get this error w/ the latest dist-upgrade, it's because rdiff-backup's libraries were installed into:
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/rdiff-backup
instead of
/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/rdiff-backup
Python installed version 2.4, but some packages still use 2.3 so both are on my system and the default python runs 2.4.
You can just copy that rdiff-backup directory over and you'll be all set...

Thanks for the tip, kenyee. I just ran into that problem last night, and, luckily, my first try at the fix happened to work. What's more, the rdiff-backup-statistics works again on my Kanotix box!

the du-fixes-h2 script now automatically checks for this error and fixes it when you run dist-upgrade, or you can run it manually in the last misc tweaks section.
<update>this issue has now been fixed in sid, so the fix is no longer necessary.</update>
