General Support - if libbonobo2-0 continually reinstalls kenyee - 20.08.2006, 20:03 Uhr Titel: if libbonobo2-0 continually reinstalls
when you do apt-get dist-upgrade, do this first:
apt-get clean
then
apt-get dist-upgrade
This is only for old-timers that switched from the old amd64 archives to the official debian amd64 archives. It's not intuitive, but basically it's caching the old library from the old archive, but the new archive tells it to install it w/ a different signature...

Rather unlikely, that symptom points to (at least) two sources.list entries providing a package with the same version number (libbonobo2-0), but different md5sums - just remove the offending (non debian.org) entry (apt-cache policy libbonobo2-0).

yep, apt-cache policy did point at two different repos, but doing the apt-get clean did fix it...there's a debian bug report on libbonobo2-0 as well as libselinux...both of these packages have the same issue if you adopted 64-bit debian early, then switched to the official 64-bit repos...
