Titel: administrator password problem [fixed by latest d-u]
After the d-u today, my administrator password isn't accepted. Where do I go from here?

drb

PS - this appears to have affected others. su and sux both work OK.

Has anyone shutdown and restarted? Is the home user password accepted at login or is it just root that's the problem?

etorix - try running synaptic or something that comes up with an admin password requirement.

Yes same here kdesu is broken, I assume it is part of kdebase which I have reinstalled but it may be another part of kde.

Same problem here. Admin password works when you su to get a root terminal but not in anything that needs to use the kde su thingy. My guess its a problem with kpassword, the kdebase set or both in sid.

Is kdesu part of kdebase-bin?

This is getting strange, there are a whole new load of kde packages (last hour) in the repositories.Update went ok but trying to download it looks like a lot of them are trying ( unsuccessfully) to be fetched from the Kanotix repros not the Debian ones, what is going on.

Same here on 64bit

I am jusing sux for now.

I enabled the kantix repos an a flood of kde packages came as well. Are these from incoming?

Same here must have just hit the repros at the wrong time although I was not expecting KDE from Kanotix. Also noticed the Firefox icon has changed to a blue earth from the official one. (Is this the first sign of a change to the Debian version)

Yes, this happened to me late last night, adding

deb http://debian.tu-bs.de/project/kanotix/incoming-deb ./

to the source list and doing another d-u fixed the problem for me.

I commented it out after d-u.
