After I used h2's script to du kernel & software, the desktop icons for my partitions disappeared. I've done a search, but I forget how to do this re-enable.

stryder: Thanks for that link. I don't know how I passed over that heading in my search. One of the poster (N'nitis) mentioned the file manager Krusader in his post. I had forgotten about that nifty utility.
