What next? What should I do afterwards installing Kanotix? Upgrade everything? Install drivers? (I thought drivers were only for Windows ) or is everything set from here on out and I can do whatever I like after one install?

if your installation of KANOTIX was successful and you can boot into the installed system, most if not all hardware should work out of the box and you have to do nothing more - just get aquainted with Debian-Linux, if you have not used it before.....
good luck!

Because in Windows XP Home SP2, if I didn't install the graphics drivers, I got really bad graphics and I could not change the graphics settings. After I installed the driver I got great graphics and I could change and tweak settings to make it better than if I didn't install the driver. Also I got no sound if I didn't install the sound driver. What about the chipset driver?

For the graphics driver: There comes one with the Xorg installation (assuming that your gfx adapter was detected correctly). If you have direct rendering (just type 'glxinfo' in a console window and search the output for 'Direct rendering: Yes') then it should be ok. If you can see a speaker symbol in the task bar near the clock then also your sound should work (maybe you have already heard the KDE startup sound). Chipset driver should be detected automaticly just like with the LiveCD.

I use Enlightenment DR16 (17 has a little bugs which I don't like but it is really cool eye candy but 16 is just simply beautiful to me.) so does that matter or interfere the fact I don't use KDE?

SentralOrigin,
if you could tell more about your hardware, people could advice you more specifically.

Ah, very sorry.
This is a custom built notebook:
Motherboard: Uniwill 245II0 Base Notebook
CPU: Intel Pentium M 735 1.7AGHz 2M
Ram: Super Talent SODIMM PC2700 512mb
Hard Drive: Samsung MP0402H 40GB 5400RPM Notebook Drive
OS: Windows XP Home OEM SP2
I suppose all you needed to know was the Motherboard and CPU.
The base notebook came with a CD called "Notebook v1.0" with all the drivers (graphics, chipset, sound, LAN, modem) and an Ultimate Boot CD v3.2 Full.
