I have an IBM R40 and would like to alter the start up scripts that set the sensitivity, speed, etc. of the trackpoint. Where would those scripts be located?
Can I simply edit them in KATE?
One of the last aggrivations before giving MS the heaveho.... |

you should find those in /etc/X11/xorg.conf I think
You can edit them by staring kate in su mode, right click on desktop, select 'run command', click 'options' button, select 'run as different user', then put in 'root' and <root password> and type in 'kate' as the command.
That's if you want to edit it with kate. I believe it will be the alps or synaptic touchpad part, but I'm not positive. |
