I just installed Easter RC4 on hardrive and everything works perfectly.
Except that my desktop is black, has no icons (and any new ones I try to
put there are not displayed) and nothing happens when I right click on it
even though I have it set for displaying menu on desktop right click.
It shows my taskbar and any running program without a problem.
I went to Control Center five times to make sure that I didn't miss anything.
What makes my desktop a black hole? |

| Pop in any cd you like, and eject it, then the icons will appear, mine keep disappearing too, and yes its annoying at times,, most of the time i use konqueror to get to a partition, however it is an extra step, (til i get the pip and pop in a cd again) |

the icons miss due to a kde bug, and can b3 fixed as bluewater says or by sticking in an usb-device. but you should have a background by default.

| By default Screen-Background black is not! transparent. To enable black as bakground you should declare white as the tranparent second color |
