I am running the latest 'unstable update but when starting I get these two Failure messages? Using a DELL 9100 laptop with mobility radeon 9700 graphics if that helps.
Any ideas? Can I just eliminate the errors runs fine otherwise.
Composite extension not found
You must use XOrg ≥ 6.8 for translucency and shadows to work.
Additionally, you need to add a new section to your X config file:
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection
The Composite Manager crashed twice within a minute and is therefore disabled for this session. |

Buy another laptop with nvidia gfx chip and then use:
update-scripts-kanotix.sh
install-nvidia-debian.sh -c
and stop asking with ATI hardware. |
