Titel: Synaptic's terminal output

I rarely use the Synaptic package manager except to view the
latest stuff available in the repositories.
But I've just used it to install a trivial application and noticed
that it's terminal output is mostly garbage. The only readable
characters are the ocassional "debc". It looks to me as if
Synaptic isn't displaying APT's character output correctly.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so has a cure been
found?
The problem isn't an important one for me but it might be for
someone else. |
