After a clean install I've been gradually setting everything up from scratch.
At the moment I'm trying to get bluetooth to work but am having problems.
If I try to run kbluetoothd or kbtobexclient then I cannot connect to my mobile phone, either sending or receiving and get this error
Code:
WARNING: No usable bluetooth device found.
If I do
Code:
/etc/init.d/bluetooth restart
then both kbluetoothd and kbtobexclient work fine and I can send/receive to/from my mobile without problems.
The thing is, bluetooth is checked in rcconf but appears to not be starting on boot.
I've done unfreeze-rc.d then check it in rcconf then done freeze-rc.d but it just doesn't want to work unless I do it manually once booted.
Bluetooth was working fine before the clean install and I have all the same packages installed now. |

Hi!
Look at
Code:
ls /etc/rc5.d/
if bluetooth shows up.
If yes i dont know your problem.
If not
Code:
unfreeze-rc.d
update-rc.d bluetooth defaults
freeze-rc.d
and check again. |

Zitat:
Look at

Bluetooth did show up but I tried using update-rc.d to remove it then followed your other suggestion to add it again but after a reboot I'm still getting the same thing. |

Many thanks, bluetooth is now connecting to my phone and I can fully browse and copy to/from.
I'm unable to get the phone to send anything to the computer yet but I think it may be a phone config I need to sort out but I didn't have time. |

Nah, it's a Sony Ericsson k800i. As it turns out, the next time I booted it was working perfectly.
It comes with a usb cable so I could transfer things anyway but for the odd file it's just quicker to use bluetooth. |
