I notice there is a new RC release of kanotix - KANOTIX-2006-01-RC1
I'm waiting for delivery of a new AMD 64 and am wondering which kanotix release I should go for?
I did a search for "amd 64" to read up on any problems I might face and only found one related read, in which it was not advised not to use the 64 bit version of kanotix until the next release. Does that include rc releases or did it mean 2006-01 final?
What would be the difference between using the 32 bit version on amd 64 and the 64 bit version?
From talking to several people it has been suggested it's better to just use 32 bit OS's anyway.
I know nothing at all about 64 bit generally yet. |

RCs are only uploaded for one architecture, doing otherwise isn't possible with the given upload bandwidth and time, the final releases are different in this regard. |
