          | Hello. I just installed the newest Kanotix and overall I love it. However, to install the Linux printer drivers that come with a Samsung ML-2010 laser printer you have to be able to enter "cd /mnt/cdrom" before you can run the ./setup.sh. This worked perfectly in Kanotix 2005-04 but now after typing "cd /mnt/cdrom" I get the message "No such file or directory".
Going through localhost:631 doesn't work either; it says printer setup successfully but nothing happens.
 Can anyune help?
Thanks, Jim from Guelph, Ontario Canada.

          | Mount points have changed. Try Code:
cd /media/cdrom0

          | Thank you ockham23. However, now it says "./setup.sh" is not a file or a directory like it used to be in Kanotix 2005-04. Can you please tell me how to run the setup script on this cd? My daughter has to print homework tonight for tomorrow! Many thanks, Jim from Guelph.

          | Just want to say thanks to Kano for a sweet operating system and the others who replied so far. I am sure printer issues will be resolved in due course. (P.S. My daughter is moving the printer to her Windows machine for now, but this is only temporary; Linux and Kanotix will triumph!)
On a side note, I just started an accounting job at a company here in Canada that is running on all Linux servers and desktops. I love it!!!!!
 Jim from Guelph.

          | Thank you again for your help. After entering sh setup.sh I now get this error message: root@P3:/media/cdrom0# sh setup.sh setup.sh: line 143: 3125 Segmentation fault "$setup" "$@" 2>>$NULL
The setup program seems to have failed on x86/glibc-2.1
As I said, the printer comes with Debian friendly Linux drivers on the CD and worked under Kanotix 2005-04, it just seems to be a matter of getting to the setup program in Kanotix 2006.
 Thanks again, Jim in Guelph.

          | That must be it. I downloaded new drivers from Samsung's site and set the printer up through the KDE print manager and now it works fine. Thank you again. |
