Hi....I miss FLUXBOX. Last time I downloaded & installed it, on KANOTIX 2005-4 I had problem with the menu not being fully populated. Is there a way to download the tarball, extract it and install and also be able to have the WHOLE KDE MENU available?
I had to hand-edit a FLUXBOX file to get every menu item I wanted on there! It was too time consuming. Please advise! |

I'm just guessing, but does the "update-menus" command help? |

Well sure you can dl the tarball and built it yourself but apt-get is much easier and the tarball is not going to magically add the KDE menu. Try fluxmenu a python script that can run from its own directory.
Code:
wget http://download.berlios.de/fluxmenu/fluxMenu-24.tar.gz
unp fluxMenu-24.tar.gz
fluxmenu/fluxMenu.py

there is also fluxbox-generate_menu script that comes along with fluxbox, but haven't tried it yet..
you can find it in /usr/share/doc/fluxbox .
gunzip it, make it executable and place it in /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin.
i was searching for the same thing and discovered it just yesterday..
