Titel: Splashy boot not showing, but shutdown shows

I get the following error during boot:
/etc/rcS.d/S01splashy-init: line 1081:
etc/splashy/splashy.pid.client: Read-only file
system
How do I fix this?
Also, what happened with the fglrx drivers? How come I get a blank screen now when I change from init 5 to init 3?

Just wanted to add that the boot splash screen showed once and never ever again.

I've had that problem with newer versions of splashy, though it did appear sometimes and not others.
Maybe try version 0.1.6, I've never had any issues with that version. |
