D-u'd. After rebooting (hadn't done it in a couple of days), I got a couple of screenfuls of 'BUG: scheduling while atomatic: Xorg/0x00000001/3031'. Ran du-fixes video driver (ran into an xorg prob before that got cleared up that way). Ran through everything his script had to offer and still ran into the sme message. Currently running kernel 2.16.18-slh-up-2. Did notice one thing, I had splashy runingduring the bootup time and the screen to show up, although during shutdown it did. Don't know if that is any clue as to what the prob might be. |

Found a fix. Ran # dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg and it worked. Must have corrupted xorg.conf somehow. Is there a way to make sure the I accually put in the right configuration formy setup? I am new at this and it would be nice to know if things are working the best they can? |

Boot off the LiveCD and save a copy of /etc/X11/XF86Config-4. This file is generated by the LiveCD and renamed to xorg.conf when you install Kanotix to hard drive. Use it to check your current xorg.conf. |
