Hi,
With the RC3 liveCD, I can rotate the screen for my tablet PC if I use the cheatcode xmodule=i810. With the HD install from RC3, I can't even when I add i810 to /etc/modules.
With the CD and the cheatcode, the Krandrtray gives the option to rotate the screen different directions. With the HD install, there are no such options in Krandrtray and in Configure Desktop -> Display, these options are grayed out. And nothing happens when I do xrandr -o left (or whatever) from Konsole.
So, does anyone know how they got the rotation to work with the liveCD?

ockham23 hat folgendes geschrieben::
Have you checked which driver is loaded by /etc/X11/corg.conf?
Code:
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf | grep -i driver
You can also boot off the LiveCD and compare /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 with /etc/X11/xorg.conf on your root partition.
Thanks ockham23. I compared the two configuration files and the xorg.conf had a lot of vesa settings. Rather than go through line-by-line and change them, it was easy enough to just reinstall and the rotation is working now.
