Just installed Kanotix and find works great on my machine. However, am trying to set up popfile to work with Tbird, and cannot get the web interface on 127.0.0.1:7070 to kick in. Alternatively, tried the Tbird extension Spamato, and as well cannot get the web interface to open. Any thoughts appreciated.

If you have a look at /usr/share/doc/popfile/README.Debian it says:

When you first start the daemon you will not find any config file. Stop the daemon and the default config file will be written.

So stop the daemon (if it's running) and restart it THEN try 127.0.0.1:7070

Code:

/etc/init.d/popfile stop

/etc/init.d/popfile start
