The version from testing is giving the same problem: is 1.0~pre4-1.1 instead of 1.0~pre5-1.1.
----oh! I forgot to downgrade also wodim. Now k3b is working! |

Is there a cheat in the grub line like
Code:
hdc=ide-scsi
?
That might help if it is a hardware problem.

I get the following error with K3B:
System locale charset is ANSI_X3.4-1968
Your system's locale charset (i.e. the charset used to encode filenames) is set to ANSI_X3.4-1968. It is highly unlikely that this has been done intentionally. Most likely the locale is not set at all. An invalid setting will result in problems when creating data projects.
Solution: To properly set the locale charset make sure the LC_* environment variables are set. Normally the distribution setup tools take care of this.
How do I change the locale charset? Google has not been my friend on this one. I figured out how to check it, but I don't really understand the output.
Code:
/usr/share/locale# locale
LANG=C
LANGUAGE=us
LC_CTYPE="C"
LC_NUMERIC="C"
LC_TIME="C"
LC_COLLATE="C"
LC_MONETARY="C"
LC_MESSAGES="C"
LC_PAPER="C"
LC_NAME="C"
LC_ADDRESS="C"
LC_TELEPHONE="C"
LC_MEASUREMENT="C"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="C"

I had the same problems, you can make a "dpkg-reconfigure locales" and there you can choose the default one.
For Euro see:
Zitat:
So, in my case, I have changed /etc/environment adding
Zitat:
export LANG=it_IT@euro
export LC_ALL=it_IT@euro
Howevever, since K3b now (with wodim) cannot make a correct copy "on the fly" of a CD and cannot make a multissession CD, I have switched for the moment to Nerolinux.
