Titel: Wine Restarts X Server

When I try to start any application with Wine, even winecfg, the application loads and suddenly restarts the X server. Here are my specs:
-Wine 0.9.25 from official Debian repository on November 24, 2006.
-first installed KANOTIX from 2006.1 RC4 disc
-8MB NVIDIA Vanta LT with 7184 drivers from nvidia.com (installed with h2's script)
-kernel 2.6.18.3-slh-up-1 (installed with h2's script) |

| I would think that the Nvidia drivers can be the cause, have you already tried with the Xorg driver (nv)? |

| Reinstall the nvidia-driver in runlevel 3:
Code:
ctrl+alt+F1
root
[password]
init 3
update-scripts-kanotix.sh
install-nvidia-debian.sh
If you use compiz/beryl, it is
install-nvidia-debian.sh -c # -h for more options

| Which one of the driver's you suggest? I use ver 9629,skipped the beta for now ver 9742..I see several version out of various age and type. Ver 9629 seems stable for me. Suppose to be stable,, but that has been a problem with other driver's, not just me,by other's the post's too. ATI.NVIDIA ect ect. |
