Unser Dell Inspiron 6400 mit Excalibur 2.6.31-10-generic, 2GB RAM, braucht eine gute Minute um aus dem suspend-to-RAM Modus wieder aufzuwachen, was schon ziemlich mühsam ist. Könnte man wo dran optimieren?

Hi Felis,
dass kann man so pauschal nicht sagen. Ich hab die Erfahrung gemacht, dass Suspend mit dem einen Kernel geht und mit dem anderen nicht. Um deine Situation jetzt aber verbessern zu können, musst du nach den Ursachen suchen.
Vielleicht guckst du mal was dir, direkt nach dem Aufwachen, der Befehl dmesg so sagt. Da lässt sich der komplette Suspend-Vorgang vom schlafen legen bis zum aufwachen sehr gut nach vollziehen.
Abschließend steht dort bei mir z.B.

Ich hab das Phänomen, daß das Aufwachen zwar schnell geht, aber die Tastatur tot ist...

Da hilft dann nur Akku raus und ein Neustart...

Sonderlich schlau, wo das Problem sein könnte, werde ich daraus nicht. Sehe nur, dass der Resume-Vorgang 64 Sekunden gedauert hat. Ziemlich lange. Smilie

Das Problem scheint kernelunabhängig zu sein. Auch mit 2.6.28-15 64,5 Sekunden. Aber erst seit Excalibur. Mit Kanotix 2.6.22 ging's flott.

also was mir aufgefallen ist sind diese Zeilen hier:

wenn man sich die Zeiten anguckt, sind das schon große Sprünge

der Fehler oben bezieht sich auf einen TV Chip (wird weiter oben erkannt, findet aber scheinbar die passende Firmware nicht), mal probiert wie es ohne die sämtliche TV-Hardware Sachen läuft?

Danke, das ist es tatsächlich! Nach Abziehen des TV-Sticks wacht er in 3 Sekunden auf. Diese Meldung hatte ich eigentlich ignoriert, weil der Treiber sehr wohl in /lib/firmware vorhanden ist.
