Titel: knotes problem after apt-u

After doing an apt-upgrade* I found that, when activating a knote by moving my mouse cursor over it, parts of the screen flicker and my cpu load hits it's maximum (this also occurs when running glxgears, which wasn't the case before). One difference that I noticed after the apt-u was that the "beta" tag attached to the nvidia splash screen has gone, is this ok or have I somehow reverted to an old nvidia set-up?

kano reverted the installer script to the stable nvidia driver because of too many problems people were having.
You can edit this back by simply uncommenting the latest 9xxx nvidia driver from the installer script and then commening out the 8xxx one
this is also assuming you did not do the dist-upgrade in x or kde, of course. |

| I didn't do a d-u due to the konsole error reported in the news section. Reverting back to the beta driver hasn't helped though. Any more ideas? |
