That sounds pretty cool, I'm wondering how well people will take to putting an OS on their gaming systems. I'm not big on gaming myself but this does sound pretty interresting, one can get the best of both worlds. I heard bits about that new processor chip they use in the PS3, I wonder how fast linux would be on it.... That I would like to see.
Cheers,
Mike |

Well I have not looked at YDL for 2 years or so but hopefully it has improved ALOT. At the time it was the worst Linux distro I'd ever used. Slow, breakage prone and YUM absolutely sucked big ones. It took days just to tell you that package ABC didn't even exist. I won't be buying a PS3 either for the same reason you site.. It should go a long way toward getting E17 out into the hands of the people though. BTW - someone or some corporation has been paying coding bounties to the E17 devs. Everyone is pretty tight lipped about who this is apparenly as part of a contractual agreement. Sony maybe? |
