I am constantly getting this error. Now I do know that
$ xauth list
# xauth add (xauth list )
cleans it up. But the prob is that it returns on the next reboot. Is there any way of correcting it permanently? I also have noticed that the alpha-numeric numbers listed in the xauth list change frequently. Is that supposed to happen, or is that adding difficulty to xauth? |

use "sux" to become root

You can also add "xhost +local:root>/dev/null" in /home/username/.bashrc
But there really isn't a need with sux |

| Thax. I alwas thought one was to use mainly su, I guess there is more then one way to skin a cat. Worked great today. |
