I get the following error when the OS selection splash screen starts:

Wow, that's a odd one. I better watch this thread.
So can you boot at all? I'd say you should boot in live mode and reinstall Grub in your partition. Wait for more opinions, tho. |

| Comment out gfxmenu in /boot/grub/menu.lst, gfxboot seems to have issues (overflow) in combination with your BIOS. |

| Try finding a BIOS update for your system and see if that helps. Is your memory also working properly? |
